How To Play Deuces Wild Video
Poker
by Adel Awwad
Deuces Wild Video Poker considers
all deuces as wild cards. This treats the '2' as any card a player chooses
it to be, regardless of its suit or face value. In this type of Video Poker,
a player has an improved chance of getting good hands. However, the casino
counters this with a tighter schedule of payout. A player gets paid if
he has a three of a kind or better, at the very least.
To start the game, the player clicks
the 'deal' button and the machine responds by dealing him five cards with
everything face up. This game, being Draw Poker, allows the player to choose
whether he holds or lets go any of the five cards. The player keeps the
best hand, comparing his original deal and his possible draw. Any deuces
a player draws are considered wild and can therefore possibly make a better
hand.
If the player wishes to keep or hold
his card, the 'hold' button is clicked under the corresponding card to
be held. A card to be held is indicated by a pin and the button that previously
indicated 'hold' now changes to 'release'. In the event that the player
changes his mind, clicking the release button (or clicking the card) triggers
the release action. After selecting the respective cards to be held, clicking
the 'draw' button lets the player draw the new cards to replace those cards
that are discarded.
The newly drawn cards, together with
the held cards from the original deal, will comprise the player's final
hand. The player should always hold a total of 5 cards in his hand. The
payout of the game will be based on the chart that is displayed on top
of the machine. The payouts are done through the amount of coin credits
that are shown by the 'credit' meter on the face of the Video Poker machine.
A player can drop as many casino
chips as he wishes into the 'insert coins' slot. The more coins inserted,
the higher the player's winning coin credits, depending on the coin setting
of the machine and the dollar value of the chips.
When the player is through playing,
he can click 'coins out' to exchange his coin credits for casino chips.
If the player forgets to click 'coins out' and eventually exits the game,
the casino empties the machine and increases his account balance to the
appropriate value.
